Greenville High School Senior, Mary Burk, came to our February A.C.T.I.O.N. meeting to ask our limb loss members to answer a survey for a school project.  Mary told the group that she is working on a project for her MedTech class where she is to invent a new medical device.  Her project is working on creating a fan to put in a prosthetic socket to cool the limb during the hot/humid months.  Mary’s  project will compete in the HOSA competition with other high schools.

Mary is also the daughter of our prosthetist, Karl Burk.  He is one proud Dad!

Best of Luck, Mary!
