Gene McCorkle, a hip disarticulation amputee from Miamisburg, Ohio, shared his amazing story with us on May 22nd…

Gene took us on the journey of how he was drafted into the Army as a very young man, traveled to fight in the Vietnam War, was shot in the upper leg during combat and how those life events have shaped who he is today.  His story reminded all of us what the world was like during the late 1960’s.  We should never take our freedom for granted!

Gene is now retired from a very busy career in broadcasting.  He works out at a gym several times a week.  He also spends his winters in Florida!

A.C.T.I.O.N. thanks Gene for taking the time to share his inspiring story with our group!
