Action Prosthetics invites you to celebrate Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month from April 1-30, 2024! More than 5.6 million Americans are living with limb loss and limb difference, based on a recently published study: 5.6 Million++ Americans are Living with Limb Loss and Limb Difference: New Study Published – Amputee Coalition (amputee-coalition.org). Limb loss and limb difference affects people of all backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, genders, races, ages, and other demographics. During April, we want to demonstrate how our community thrives and how you can participate.

Today, we are highlighting our ever-busy Patient Liaison, Molly Null! She has been a bi-lateral below knee, multi-finger amputee since February of 2008. When asked what advice she would give to a new amputee, she said:
“Don’t turn a frustrating MOMENT into a frustrating DAY. Find a prosthetist you trust and communicate well with him-her. And…talk to other persons who have limb loss; I have made some very dear limb loss friends who have helped me live happily with limb loss!”
We are so proud of Molly and ALL she has accomplished since her limb loss!
