Troy Snyder, CEO and Instructor of Darke County Handgun Training, spoke to our group about awareness in public and self-defense as persons with a disability on April 23, 2018.  The meeting was held at our Greenville office. Troy gave a terrific power point presentation sharing valuable tips on being safe when we are out and about in public.  He reminded us to put our phones away when walking in public, stay with a crowd (if possible) and make ourselves known to any suspicious person.  Troy shared home safety tips as well.  Everyone is attendance mentioned the pointers Troy shared with our group made them feel safer as they live their lives as a person with a disability.

Troy is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, NRA Certified Rifle Instructor, and NRA Home Firearms Safety Instructor. He is also a United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) certified instructor.  He has attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and serves as a federal officer.  He has attended training at many different training facilities across the county to gain different perspectives on training.
