A.C.T.I.O.N. Amputee Group had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Priyesh Mehta speak at our January 27th meeting. Dr. Mehta works at Neuros Medical and shared about the QUEST clinical study. This study is evaluating if the use of the Altius System relieves post-amputation pain. This system is a nerve block treatment intended for the treatment of chronic lower limb post-amputation pain.
To qualitfy for this study, the requirements include:
1. one amputated lower limb
2. frequent and recurring post-amputation pain for longer than 6 months
3. 21 years of age or older
There is no cost if you qualify and take part in this research study and nominal compensation is provided for scheduled visits required.
