Action Prosthetics invites you to celebrate Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month from April 1-30, 2024! More than 5.6 million Americans are living with limb loss and limb difference, based on a recently published study: 5.6 Million++ Americans are Living with Limb Loss and Limb Difference: New Study Published – Amputee Coalition (amputee-coalition.org). Limb loss and limb difference affects people of all backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, genders, races, ages, and other demographics. During April, we want to demonstrate how our community thrives and how you can participate.
Today, we are highlighting our amazing patient, Pam Klatte (pictured with our Intern, Mary Burk and our Patient Liaison, Molly Null). Pam has been a right below knee amputee since April of 2014 from an auto accident. When asked what advice she would give to a new amputee, she said:
“I let new amputees see my prosthesis (the componentry). And… walk as much as you can every day!”
We are so blessed to work with Pam and serve her limb loss needs!
