A.C.T.I.O.N. Amputee Group held it’s Holiday meeting on December 11th and they had a very special guest! LOLA PEARL who is an amputee and a certified therapy kitty visited our group! Lola’s “Mom”, Juanita Mengel, who is herself an above knee amputee, shared with the group about how she got LOLA and what the process is to obtain certification through Pet Partners. Juanita shared how she went about getting LOL’s prosthesis made as well. Our group had several questions for Juanita and thoroughly enjoyed meeting LOLA.
