So proud of our new patient, Randy Smith! He recently had new prosthetics made by our Prosthetist, Karl Burk, which meant programming a prosthetic knee. Randy’s amazing attitude is the reason he walks so well! We love to watch him walk here in the office. Randy always brightens our day here at Action Prosthetics!
Randy used to work for Ohio Aviation in Vandalia. He chose to put one of his favorite planes on his right above-the-knee prosthetic socket… a Beechcraft Starship 1. Randy said there were only three of these planes ever made. They had no tail and were entirely made of composite.
Also, Randy chose to put another one of his favorite planes on his left below-the-knee prosthetic socket… a Beechcraft King Air 300 which has a T-tail. Randy often towed and refueled many kinds of planes.
Randy’s knowledge of planes is very interesting! It’s a joy to work with such a motivated patient!
