We salute our always on-the-go Patient and Veteran… Mike Sanders!  Mike served in the Army from February 1968 to 1971 during the Vietnam War.  Mike was a 57th Scout Dog; he walked point with a dog he trained looking for booby traps, guns and the enemy!  Mike said he trained 3 dogs in all.  On November 10th, 1969, an RPG round went off during a mission which resulted in Mike’s above the knee leg amputation.  He only had 11 days left to serve when he became wounded!  Mike said he spent 3 weeks in a hospital in Japan and then was transported to Walter Reed Hospital in the United States.  Mike came home in 1971- forever a person with limb loss.

We thank you, Mike, for your service to our country!  It is our honor to serve Mike with his limb loss needs!
