A.C.T.I.O.N. Amputee Group had celebrity guests at our meeting on Monday, March 11th! Juanita Mengel who is an above the knee amputee and her therapy kitty, Lola Pearl (who is an amputee too!) came to our meeting! Juanita and Lola recently had an article written about them by the Associated Press and it went worldwide! They were even featured in People Magazine-Online! Juanita shared about her and Lola’s limb loss, how she got Lola and how Lola became a Therapy Cat with Pet Partners. Our group so enjoyed Juanita’s talk and meeting her and Lola!
